Beautiful Boy??

 So...

Basically my partner and I got way too excited about this project and couldn't wait to start filming. But we realized that it was too soon and that we actually need to put in a lot more effort and thought into this assignment. So we will be researching multiple opening scenes and more tips in order to improve in our own.

So today I researched movies that have a similar theme or just same vibe. A movie that came first to my mind was Beautiful Boy (2018). In this film, a teenager deals with a drug addiction while his father and rest of his family have to watch him suffer with little ways to help him. 

The opening scene in this movie is the father talking to someone who we assume is some sort of rehab manager or therapist. He explains his sons addiction to meth and how he is becoming a completely different person. He is asking this person for help because he doesn't know what to do. From this scene you can already tell that movie will be a rollercoaster since he is explaining that his son is not the same person that the father raised because of the change in his character.

This movie is terribly sad and devastating, which is kind of what we are trying to make our audience feel. Talking about our audience, we still haven't quite figured out our target audience but we are getting there.
